Novo Nordisk raised its 2026 outlook on Wednesday, November 4, after a stronger third quarter for its weight-loss drugs. Sales were 79.2 billion Danish kroner, about $11.9 billion, up 4% from a year earlier at constant exchange rates. Adjusted operating profit was 31.7 billion kroner, ahead of expectations.
The company now sees adjusted revenue and operating profit between a 2% decline and a 2% gain for the year. It had previously guided to a range from a 6% decline to flat. Wegovy pill sales were 5.4 billion kroner, above the roughly 4.5 billion kroner analysts expected. Injectable Wegovy sales were 20.4 billion kroner, and Ozempic sales were 29.7 billion kroner.
Chief executive Mike Doustdar told CNBC that Novo still holds about 80% U.S. share for its product. The report said GLP-1 drugs are used by around 10% of Americans, which shows how widely the category now reaches. Neither figure is a new prescription price. No U.S. list price, copay, or insurance change was announced. The chief financial officer is leaving at the end of 2026.
Did Wednesday's results lower the U.S. price of Wegovy or Ozempic? No price cut was announced. The new facts are a less negative outlook and Wegovy pill sales of 5.4 billion kroner.
