Fox Business reported on October 31 that HealthCare.gov and state-marketplace open enrollment begins on Sunday, November 1. Shoppers who enroll or change plans by December 15 can start coverage on January 1, 2027. Enrollment runs through January 15, and later sign-ups in that window start on February 1. Medicare and many employer plans use different dates.
Mychal Winter, president of the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals, said premiums are generally expected to rise with inflation, provider prices and labor costs. He did not give one percentage for every plan. He told households to review last year's care, confirm doctors remain in network, and check whether a lower premium comes with a deductible they can afford. Some high-deductible marketplace plans include a health savings account. None of those steps rewrites a policy that is already in force.
Does November 1 raise the premium on a health plan you already have? No change to an existing premium was announced. November 1 opens a choice window, and a higher price applies only if the selected plan costs more.
