Binance customers could move money again on Sunday, and billions left. That is a new access fact after earlier reports that withdrawals were still halted.

BBC reported on November 2 that the exchange reopened Sunday after suspending transactions tied to a theft of about $6.3 billion. Between 06:00 and 15:30 GMT on November 1, Binance said it processed $4.649 billion in withdrawals and $1.01 billion in deposits, a net outflow of about $3.64 billion. The firm said that was just over 2 percent of $171 billion in assets under management. An initial spike in withdrawals later eased.

Binance said it has covered around 95 percent of the stolen assets and that the rest may take longer to source. It again said it will fully cover the loss. Withdrawals of more than two dozen major coins, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, have resumed, with other services returning in phases after security checks. Chainalysis told the BBC that stolen funds are still being layered across many addresses. The article says the hack hit Binance.com and that the U.S.-facing platform has said it was not affected.

Can a Binance.com customer withdraw after the hack? Major-coin withdrawals resumed on November 1, and customers pulled a net $3.64 billion that day. Full access to every service was not described as restored, and no Binance.US loss was shown here.
